Design Hope Toronto Auction

Published February 3rd, 2009

On February 6, 2009 Design Hope Toronto will hold its fourth annual fine art auction.

For the event, local artists, designers, and crafts persons have committed to donating artwork inspired by the theme of “shelter”. The pieces being created this year will include paintings, photography, digital art, sculpture and blown glass. Participants will also include, grade school, high school and college students.

For 2009, every dollar raised through Design Hope Toronto will go to our new beneficiary. Established in 1980, PARC serves the many low-income, former psychiatric patients in the Parkdale area. Following this theme, PARC is redeveloping 1495 Queen Street West for the creation of Edmond Place, a multi-unit affordable and supportive housing complex for people with mental health issues. Through your aid, you will directly help house those who otherwise would not have a stable environment in which to thrive. Location 186 Cowan Avenue.
