Prince George Loghouse resort sold at auction

Prince George investors Roger and Vicki Pelletier are the new owners of the Loghouse Restaurant and resort.

The Pelletiers bought the property for $875,000 during the Ritchie Bros. auction on Tuesday.

Roger Pelletier said he had, “no idea,” what they will do with the property yet.

“We’ll see what happens,” he said. “It’s got some investment potential.”

Roger Pelletier said the couple doesn’t plan to run it as a restaurant.

The restaurant and resort include 12.2 acres of property with over 300m of lakefront on Tabor Lake – approximately 13.5 km east of Prince George on Hedlund Road. The restaurant is a rustic, Bavarian-style building with seating for 200.

The Loghouse was initially listed for $1.25 million by the Gunther family, who were the long-time owner-operators of the restaurant and resort.

The property also includes 32 RV sites with water and power service; 30 sites without services; six log cabins; picnic area; and a boat house and launch.

The restaurant’s collection of antiques and collectables was sold in a separate auction at Ritchie Bros. on Tuesday. http://www.pgfreepress.com/portals-code/list.cgi?paper=26&cat=23&id=1029552&more=0
