Canadian Livestock Auctioneer Championship

Brad Stenberg from Kronau, SK won the title at the competition held Friday in Saskatoon.
Stenberg works at Parkland Livestock Market in Leross, SK. He will go on to compete in the International Livestock Auctioneering Championship next month at the Calgary Stampede.
Second place went to Chance Martin with Vold Jones & Vold Auction Company of Ponoka, AB.
Sheldon Nicholson with Heartland Livestock in Yorkton finished in third spot.
The Rookie Award, for those selling livestock for less than 5 years, went to Brennin Jack from Rama, SK. Jack is only 17 years old.
The most congenial auctioneer award was given to Frederick Bodnarus of Saskatoon Livestock Sales.
A total of 24 livestock auctioneers from B.C. to Quebec competed in the event, which was run in conjunction with the Livestock Markets Association of Canada annual meeting and convention.
