MDS to buy back shares in Dutch auction

MDS Inc. said on Monday it would buy back up to 16 percent of its outstanding shares to raise about C$500 million.
The life sciences company expects to repurchase up to 16.5 percent of its common shares at between C$21 to C$23.50 per share through a Dutch auction bid which expires April 5.
